Meet Ureshiitori. She is the newest edition to our family. I made another super amazing plushtastic trade with my friends at Dolls for Friends Jill and Erin. They are a super hero plush making team. Married with 3 busy children they have their hands full. Full of fun and love. Dolls for Friends use mainly reclaimed and recycled fabrics which they use to create amazing creative funky creatures. Each piece has such great texture, they are works of art. I just love how each of their characters has its own story and very layered personality. I am very happy to be called a friend with one of their dolls.

Eleven Morning Dolls May 19, 2008
Never in all my searches and escapades around Etsy, the oh so world wide web, and local shops have I found such perfect, danty and beautiful dolls as I have found in Eleven Mornings shop.
Her name is Gabriell, and she is an artist that lives and works in Sunny California. She has a big studio at home where she drinks hot chocolate, listen to Death Cab for Cutie, and makes art. Gabriell is a sculptor and illustrator but she plays with all kinds of stuff. She also belongs to a big art group called ZNE, where they get together and find new and interesting ways to use the hoarded supplies in their studio’s. She loves art. Gabriell’s motto…Make Art = Be Happy
Her color choices are combinations are divine. The round bellies and thin legs make me smile. All of the small and delicate details are proof of the fine craftsmanship. I am in love with the little ladies of Eleven Morning. Some day I will have my own lovely. Someday.
Vintage Songbird Sings May 18, 2008

Quilting is on my marvelous list of things to do in life. There is just something so lovely about matching and molding pieces of fabric to create a distinct work of art. It really is so magical.
They (not really sure who they are) speculate that quilting has been around for thousands of years. Way back to the 1100BCs in Egypt. Throughout history quilting has been used for practical purposes such and cushion inside heavy metal armor, European women were wearing quilted petticoats to ward off the harsh winter cold, blankets, wall hangings to prevent the cold from coming through the walls. So many ways to keep people warm, safe and comfortable.
And then there is the visual beauty. The art of matching colors and textures, shapes and sizes, magnificent!
Vintage Songbird has found a way to mix the two… Function and beauty. I have in my kitchen beautiful quilted wall hangings brightening up the room. But when the Haggen-Dazs enters the home I have a fantastic ice cream cozy to protect my hands from the harsh cold.

Things I would like to stop with me May 12, 2008
I decided to start a new section to go along with my little treasures.
Lovelies that would be nice to have around.
The first lovely is a sweet and amazing print by Madelaine.

Madelaine was born in Edmonton, Alberta in the year Nineteen Ninety-One. She now lives in the Appalachian mountains, very far from Canada and all cities. She is Canadian and American. Madelaine is very fond of red leaves, old suitcases and a boy named Critter.
If you were to visit her she would probably be painting or sleeping or making a cherry pie. She likes to walk in circles around people, find buried treasure and refer to herself in the third person. She is two-hundred and three months old.
Madelaine is very friendly, and likes to talk to people she can’t see. You could always start a conversation with her or send her an email, her email is: madelaine.etsy@gmail.com
I am just so excited about this lady I cant stand it. My 2 little girlies are very creative and crafty and I pray and dream that they will one day be their own kind of Madelaines.
Ruff ruff! May 8, 2008
Ok. I love plush. I make plush. I buy plush. I take pictures of plush. When I saw this little funky doggy from Jelly Bean Labs I just could pass him up. And I even had a reason other than just wanting him for my collection. It was my little nephews birthday and it made a perfect little gift.
Jelly Bean Labs is a mother daughter x3 project. The girls are all under the age of 12 and and love to craft. They have been selling their goodies in local craft and art shows for several years and are now making them available on ETSY. They are all inspired by the imagination that youth has to offer, creating fun and fanciful art for all to enjoy.
Lots of Love May 2, 2008

I really do love Etsy. I enjoy the opportunity Etsy has created for me to sell my creations. Also for the place they dreamed up for us to find such unique and amazing handmade lovelies. Its like browsing around a kagillion craft shows full of special creative people and their handy work. That is truly wonderful. So I decided to share that with the world. And hopefully point others in Etsys direction. Lawatha created this lucious pendant in a soft lavender color for me. This lavender glass features a sepia toned “I Love Etsy” design by the very talented OneFourZero Of which I had already purchased the stamp in the same design. I’m and addict. I know.
I scream! You scream! May 2, 2008
Ok so I don’t scream for ice cream any more but when I was a little girl I would have screamed for Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream! Now I just whine a little until my husband makes a run for 31 flavors. Or I pop on over to Etsy and find something like these little earring tasties. These along with the tiny cupcakes are my daughters favorite Etsy treasures. Sky Blue Bunny has my vote for the sweetest Etsy earlobe treats.
